My Hanging Bicycle Wheel sculpture started with a retired wheel I couldn't bear to toss. I painted the rim a bold blue, then laced the spokes with pressed-glass dishes and sparkling gems until it felt like a floating garden of light.
Seed beads wrap the frame in tiny constellations of color. Hang it near a sunny window, in a bright stairwell, or on a covered porch and watch as it scatters shifting reflections throughout the day.
It's part suncatcher, part kinetic art, and entirely upcycled - a playful reminder that even worn-out things can spin into something magical.
