When I first spotted the long, curved gourd that became Swan Neck Gourd, it already seemed to be bowing gracefully. All it needed was color.
I coated the form in a deep metallic crimson, letting the arch of "neck" and round base read like a resting bird, then tipped the loop in bright gold as a small, regal touch.
The high-gloss finish makes it gleam like ceramic, yet it's light in the hand - pure, dried plant beneath the shine.
Minimal in palette but rich in presence, it sits beautifully on a console or mantle, a quiet sculptural nod to the elegance hiding in simple organic shapes.
